OUR STORY

Jakana Logistics began in 2013 in a small garage in Harare, managing a KLM Cargo freighter block space agreement. From those early days of coordinating uplift and export shipments, the focus was clear: protect product quality through disciplined cold-chain control.

Over time, that focus has evolved into a specialist operation. Today, Jakana is a leading cold-chain export connector of high-value fruit, vegetables, flowers, and soft fruit out of Zimbabwe, managing the critical link between farm, cold storage, and global markets.

Operating across a country now experiencing a strong agricultural resurgence, reminiscent of the early 1990s, Jakana sits at the centre of this growth. The rapid expansion of blueberries, in particular, has positioned Zimbabwe within a unique global supply window, supplying premium markets across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and beyond.
